The 2016 Hockenheimring GP3 Sequence spherical was once a GP2 Sequence motor race hung on 30 and 31 July 2016 on the Hockenheimring in Germany. It was once the fiventh spherical of the 2016 GP3 Sequence. The race weekend supported the 2016 German Grand Prix.
Alexander Albon secured his 2nd pole place of the season with a time of one:28.431 – marginally sooner than that of Charles Leclerc, Jake Dennis and Nyck de Vries.
Antonio Fuoco took his 2nd win of the 12 months. de Vries completed 2nd and Matt Parry in 3rd.
Jake Hughes took his first win of the season, with Jack Aitken in 2nd and Charles Leclerc in 3rd. Championship chief Alexander Albon retired after an twist of fate with Ralph Boschung within the opening laps which therefore promoted Leclerc into the lead of the championship.
