According to a notification issued by the State Bank of Pakistan, banking hours will be normalized across Pakistan from Monday, May 17.
The statement said that from May 17, 2021, the State Bank of Pakistan will return to normal office hours, after which all banks / DFIs / MFBs will also be present.
According to the SBP, the above institutions will be open from Monday to Thursday from 9 am to 5:30 pm with prayer / lunch break from 1:30 to 2:15 pm.
Fridays will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with prayer / afternoon breaks from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
The statement further said, “Further, the Bank / MFB may propose business (banking) hours for public dealing as per its business requirements, for this purpose the business (banking) hours of SBP Banking Services Corporation While observing. “
SBP-BSC’s minimum benchmark business (banking) hours will be as follows:
Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“Banks / DFIs / MFBs are advised to ensure compliance with the letter and spirit of the times mentioned above,” the SBP said.
