ISLAMABAD: Saudi Arabia’s top diplomat Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud arrived in Islamabad today on a one-day visit at the invitation of Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
Prince Faisal was received at Noor Khan Air Base by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tahir Ashrafi.
Prince Faisal is leading a delegation of senior Saudi government officials, the Foreign Office said.
The Foreign Office said in a statement that “during the visit, the two Foreign Ministers will discuss bilateral relations and regional and international issues. The Saudi Foreign Minister will also meet with other dignitaries during the visit.” We will meet. “
The FO said the visit “has a special significance in the context of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s recent visit to Saudi Arabia in May 2021”.
Pakistan hopes that this visit will provide a timely opportunity for the two countries to review the progress being made in mutual cooperation.
The FO said, “Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have a long and historic fraternal relationship, rooted in common faith, common history and mutual support. It’s a manifestation. ”
