‘Double threat’ faces criticism despite Babar Azam’s score: Salman Butt
The former captain is not a fan of the comparison between the Indian captain and the Pakistani captain.
Former cricketer Salman Butt is not a fan of the comparison between Indian captain Virat Kohli and Pakistan captain Babar Azam.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Butt said that Babar does not get the kind of help from his batting order that Kohli enjoys from the Indian batting order.
“There is no comparison between Babar Azam and Virat Kohli. The Indian captain is very experienced and Babar Azam is relatively new. The Pakistan captain is performing well but he still has a long way to go. But Babar Azam does not have the support of those around him, which could turn his performance into a match-winner. Although Kohli has a complete framework. It is surrounded by a bunch of great players. Butt said that even if Kohli fails, India can win because there are other people in the team who are capable of winning the game for them.

The former cricketer added that Babar faces the most criticism in the national team despite his excellent performance except wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan.
“At the moment, Babar Azam is young, not as experienced and showy as Kohli. Secondly, he is almost like the only actor in the team. It has the support of Rizwan but the rest do it only once in a while. Babar Azam’s scores are still there but he has faced criticism, which is a double threat. This is the machinery in which one has to work, one man cannot tell the difference. After all, it’s a team game.
