Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong on Wednesday congratulated Khalid Mansoor on taking over as Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) affairs and said he was looking forward to working with him.
Amb Nong lauded the services of Lieutenant General (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa to the former CPEC Authority.

Who is Khalid Mansoor?
Mansoor brings with him four decades of experience working with various organizations in the energy, petrochemicals and fertilizer industries, with distinction and honors with degrees in chemical engineering. He is expected to lead the second phase of CPEC, which will focus on industrial cooperation.
Mansoor is also a well-known business leader and has served as President of the Overseas Chamber of Commerce of Industry (OICCI). He has been the Chief Executive of The Hub Power Company Limited (Hubco) since May 20, 2013.

Asim Bajwa resigns as CPEC Authority chief
Lt. Gen. Bajwa resigned as head of the CPEC Authority on Tuesday, thanking the government and Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Bajwa wished Mansoor luck, as he was replaced by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister in CPEC affairs.
He said that Mansoor was fully equipped to take the C-Pack forward. C-Pack is the lifeline for Pakistan, it will transform us into a developed and fully developed country.
Bajwa was appointed chairman of the CPEC Authority in November 2019.
