ISLAMABAD: 4,722 new cases of corona virus have been reported in Pakistan in the last 24 hours as the country is battling the fourth wave of the epidemic. Geo News. Is informed.

According to the National Command and Operations Center, there are a total of 78,595 active cases in Pakistan. Covid 19 killed 46 more people in the last 24 hours in the country.

The NCOC reported that after taking 57,398 tests, COVID-19 was detected in 4,722 people, while it maintained a positive rate of 8.22%.

The NCOC figures show that 46 people have lost their lives to the corona virus in the country, bringing the total number of deaths across the country to 23,575, while the number of recovering patients is 945,829. The total number of cases in the country is 1,047,999.

According to the province-wise breakdown, the total number of cases was 389,699 in Sindh, 145,862 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 359,321 in Punjab, 88,676 in Islamabad, 30,749 in Balochistan and 25,301 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. And in Gilgit-Baltistan it has reached 8,391.

Sindh is currently under lockdown till August 8, while the governments of Punjab and Azad Kashmir have also imposed partial lockdown. Punjab’s lockdown covers Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan and Faisalabad.
