Pakistan International Airlines has denied reports that it did not provide mineral water to passengers on domestic flights before today.

“PIA denies a web news item aimed at damaging our reputation that we will not supply water on board,” the PIA said.

The organization added that the rumor was irresponsible and unprofessional and that such reports were intended only to mislead passengers.

A day earlier, the news claimed that PIA had decided not to offer half-liter bottles of mineral water to passengers on domestic flights.

The report said that PIA staff would provide water in glasses to the students.

Correction: In the first version of this story, it was said that PIA will no longer provide bottles of mineral water to passengers on domestic flights. After the PIA released its explanation, the story has been changed to reflect that.
