ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s daily death toll has crossed 100 for the second time in the current month since Saturday, as the country continues its fight against the fourth wave of epidemics.
The country last reported more than 100 deaths on August 12, 2021.
According to the latest figures from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), Pakistan has reported 120 quad-related deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of virus-related deaths nationwide to 25,535.
According to the NCOC, 4,191 people tested positive for the virus after taking 61,446 Covid 19 tests. The country’s positive rate is now 6.83%.
In addition, the total number of active cases in the country rose to 93,107 on August 28, the highest this year.
So far, however, a total of 1,029,930 people have recovered from the virus. The total number of confirmed cases in Pakistan is 1,148,572.
