Washington: Covid 19 increased the risk of myocarditis by a factor of 16, which provides a strong argument in favor of vaccination.

Myocarditis and its associated risk, pericarditis (inflammation around the heart) has previously been linked to the Pfizer itself and modern Covid 19 vaccines, especially in adolescent boys and young people.

According to a new article from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the risk of infection is much higher in Covid 19.

The study analyzed the hospital records of 15 million patients with covid and 35 million without, to see what percentage of myocarditis is, and classified them by age and sex.

The authors wrote, “Overall, myocarditis was uncommon in individuals with and without Covid 19. However, Covid 19 was significantly associated with an increased risk of myocarditis, the risk of which varies with age. ۔ “

The highest risk was seen in patients under the age of 16 who had a 37-fold increased risk of myocarditis compared to those who did not have the corona virus.

This was followed by children over 75, 65 to 74 years old and 50 to 64 years old.

The underlying cause is not understood, but it could be related to a viral heart infection, the study said – or, under the age of 16, it could be related to a multi-system inflammatory syndrome.

The CDC study cited an article by Israeli researchers published last week in the New England Journal of Medicine, which found that the Messenger RNA vaccine tripled the risk of myocarditis.

This article shows that covid has increased the risk of myocarditis by 18 times, according to a new CDC study.

The CDC concluded in June that the benefits of the Covid 19 vaccine outweigh the risks of vaccine-induced myocarditis, even in the high-risk group.

The authors of the new study write that the new data supports this claim.

The benefits of vaccination increase as the community transmission of covid increases and the risk of contracting the disease increases.

This is currently the case in the United States, where Delta is facing its second major wave to date due to various circumstances.
