ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has issued a Geo.tv. Investigations into billing customers of distribution companies (Discos) for more than 31 days in a single month urge affected consumers to file criminal complaints.

In a statement, NEPRA said that consumers can submit their complaints to NEPRA’s regional or central offices so that the issue can be looked into further.

Complaints can also be lodged by email, read the statement.

Furthermore, NEPRA indicates that no complaints have been received so far regarding billing of consumers in violation of the billing period approved by NEPRA.

He once again asked the customers to register their grievances so that they could be investigated and justice could be served.

The investigation found that some of these companies issue 35 and 37 days electricity bills to their customers in a month.

This is a serious violation of a key condition set by NEPRA in its agreement with each of the electricity distribution companies, which states that all tariffs for residential consumers are only a maximum billing of 31 days. Apply to the period.
