ISLAMABAD: In the last 24 hours, 1,664 new cases of corona virus have been reported in Pakistan while the positive rate was 3.21% on Saturday morning.
According to the latest figures from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 1,664 new corona virus infections were detected after taking 51,796 tests across the country in 24 hours.
It is noteworthy that Pakistan on Saturday (today) for the seventh day in a row reported less than 2000 cases per day. In addition, the country reported a positive growth rate of less than 4% in six of the seven days from September 25.
The NCOC data shows that with 2,847 recoveries in the last 24 hours, the number of recoveries is now 1,173,437.
Covid 19 claimed 46 more people in Pakistan in the last 24 hours, bringing the national death toll to 27,831.
The number of active cases has dropped to 46,934 in the last two months.
Positive cases, along with positive rates, have been falling steadily for more than a month and the new recovery is leaving behind almost daily fresh cases. In active cases, 3,511 patients are in critical care.
COVID-19 infections are declining in Pakistan, with an average of 1,672 new infections being reported every day. That’s 29% of the peak – the highest daily average on June 17.
Pakistan has so far given at least 82,830,350 doses of the covid vaccine. Assuming that each person needs 2 doses, it is enough to vaccinate 19.1% of the country’s population.
During the reported last week, an average of 25,725,632 doses are given daily in Pakistan. At this rate, it will take another 60 days to provide enough food for 10 more people.
