KARACHI: For the first time in the history of Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), a grand ceremony was held in honor of cricket hero and PCB chairman Rameez Raja on Tuesday morning.

Rameez Raja mumbled in the PSB Trading Hall to open the business day between the presence of PCB and senior management of PSX.

Speaking on the occasion, Raja said: “I thank PSX for inviting me to the Gong event to open the business day. I am very happy to be in this great environment. The trading hall and the exchange itself because This is a unique experience for me.

He said it was the first time he had experienced being in the Pakistani capital market between the business and financial communities.

He further said that to see cricket growing in Pakistan from the grassroots to the international level and to see the day when Pakistan restores its former glory in cricket all over the world.

PSX MD Farrukh Khan said: “For most Pakistanis, cricket is a part of their lives and not just a sport. The PCB is helping to shape the future attitudes and destiny of our young generation.

He added that the impact of the PCB’s work extends beyond cricket alone, with significant social and economic benefits for Pakistan.

PSXMD added: “We pray for the success of our team in the upcoming T20 World Cup and welcome them to PSX in the future as well.”
