Faisalabad / Jhang: Rallies and marches continued across Punjab on Sunday under the anti-inflation campaign announced by the PML-N leadership.

PML-N divisional president Haji Akram Ansari and other leaders addressed a rally in Faisalabad against rising inflation in the country.

The speakers said that the people have taken to the streets against the policies of the government.

He said the campaign against inflation would continue “until the rulers are sent home”.

Meanwhile, the party organized a march in Jhang to protest against inflation.

PML-N leaders marched from Circuit House to Jhang Press Club. The protesting women rallied outside the press club and protested with empty pots in their hands.

Rallies were also held in Mianwali, Multan and other cities in Punjab.

PML-N announced protests across Punjab.

Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly and PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif on Friday appealed to the people to join the protest against rising inflation in the country.

“Giving the government more time means that the people of the country will face more problems, more inflation, more unemployment,” he said.

The economic condition of the country and its people will not improve unless we get rid of this tyrannical government, Shahbaz said, as he called on party leaders of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) in civic and business organizations. And directed to ensure cooperation with public associations. He appealed to the people to join the nationwide protest against inflation.

Earlier, PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah had said that demonstrations would be held at Jain Mandir Chowk in Lahore after Friday prayers. The former Punjab law minister invited workers, traders, lawyers and other sectors to support the opposition’s protest.

The people will get relief only when packaging is sent to this incompetent and corrupt government.

Similarly, addressing a rally of protesters, PML-N leader Saad Rafique said that PTI had destroyed a developing Pakistan.

Opposition parties have stated they will not run in the by-elections. The parties took to the streets in Karachi, Larkana, Lahore, Sukkur, Mardan, Jacobabad, Mohmand, Ziarat, Mingora and other cities of the country to put pressure on the government amid rising inflation in the country.
