Dubai: India beat Scotland by eight wickets to survive the T20 World Cup on Friday, with KL Rahul scoring 50 off 19 balls.

Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammad Shami took three wickets each to help Scotland to 85 in 17.4 overs as India batted in the Super 12 match in Dubai.

Rahul and Rohit Sharma, who scored 30, separated Scotland’s bowling as India achieved their target in 6.3 overs to get their run rate over New Zealand and Afghanistan.

They will still have to win their last match against Namibia and rely on the outcome of the New Zealand-Afghanistan match to make it to the final four.
