ISLAMABAD: After whitewashing Bangladesh in a three-match T20 series, Pakistan captain Babar Azam credited the entire team for the glorious victory.
In the last match of the three-match series played in Dhaka on Monday, Pakistan won the series by defeating Bangladesh by five wickets.
In a post-match briefing, Babar Azam said, “It is important to understand your mistakes and learn from them to win the game.”
Azam said he was happy with the team’s performance, adding that “they deserve credit, but there is always room for improvement.”
He believes that there is a need for improvement in Pakistan’s fielding and lower middle order.
“The squad’s fielding performance has improved a lot in recent months, and the lower middle order has also helped us win matches,” Azam remarked. “However, cricket is a game of good and bad days, and the team must work hard.”
He also lauded the support of the Dhaka crowd at the stadium during the T20I series against Bangladesh, saying he was thrilled to see the stadium packed with people who missed out on the COVID-19 restrictions. Were
