Sources said Geo News The former cricketer and PCB chairperson also demanded the resignation of former NHPC chief Grant Bradburn, adding that he did not hang his shoes voluntarily.

However, a media release from the PCB earlier this year stated that Bradburn had resigned “to seek more coaching opportunities”.

The former New Zealand cricketer, who was Pakistan’s national fielding coach from September 2018 to June 2020 and was later promoted to head of the NHPC, backed the PCB’s statement regarding his resignation.

“My wife and my three children have sacrificed a lot to allow me to serve Pakistan cricket,” said Brad Byrne. “The COVID-19 regulations make it difficult for them to visit Pakistan and feel the warmth, love and friendship that this country offers. Now is the time to prioritize family and the next challenge of coaching. Let’s move on, “he added.

Sources told Geo News that Raja was not happy with some appointments in NHPC which were not based on merit.

Fielding coach Atiq Alzaman has been in Manchester with his family for the past two months, while bowling coach Muhammad Zahid has also resigned and moved to England.

He further said that the chairman PCB wanted to sack several coaches so that they could restructure the center once again.
