The 2022 Tailteann Cup Ultimate used to be the inaugural ultimate of the Tailteann Cup and the fruits of the 2022 Tailteann Cup. The event used to be performed at Croke Park in Dublin on 9 July 2022, between Cavan and Westmeath. Westmeath gained after a 2–14 to one–13 win towards Cavan.[1]

Paths to the general[edit]





Derry’s Barry Cassidy used to be the referee for the general.[2]Maurice Deegan of Laois had initially been indexed to referee the general of the inaugural festival, however the GAA showed a transformation of referee on 6 July.[3]

Mayo performed Galway within the All-Eire Minor Soccer Championship ultimate which happened the day prior to this, on 8 July. Galway gained the sport on a zero–15 to 0–09 scoreline.[4]


Westmeath changed into the inaugural winners of the Tailteann Cup, scoring 1–4 with out answer within the ultimate 13 mins to take the trophy.[5]

A purple card for Cavan’s Thomas Galligan within the 58th minute used to be the turning level of the sport. Cavan have been main by means of two, 1–13 to one–11, when Galligan stuck Galway’s Ronan O’Toole with a prime frontal shoulder. O’Toole went directly to be the man-of-the-match.[6]
