Cain X 3 is a choice of 3 in the past revealed novels through James M. Cain, reissued in 1969 through Alfred A. Knopf, with an advent through Tom Wolfe.[1]

Cain’s literary oeuvre had drifted into obscurity through the overdue Nineteen Sixties, and as a novelist he used to be at his nadir. When renewed pastime within the “ hard-boiled fiction of the Nineteen Thirties through Dashiell Hammett and Raymond Chandler drew consideration to Cain’s contributions to the style.[2]

Alfred A. Knopf publishers answered through providing this anthology of 3 of Cain’s maximum a hit novels, Cain X 3: The Postman At all times Rings Two times (1934), Double Indemnity (1936), and Mildred Pierce (1941). Enthusiasm for Cain’s early paintings persevered into the Seventies and Eighties.[3]
