“If you educate a man, you educate an individual. But if you educate a woman, you educate a nation”
Women have to play every role in society, so there are many advantages of education for women. An educated conversant with her duties as a citizen of a state. An educated woman is aware of the part she has to play in the growth of her nation.
She understands her responsibilities towards herself, her family and her country. Women cannot become good citizens if they are uneducated. Moreover, they pass on their education to their children.
Education is very much connected to women’s ability to form social responsibility on the basis of equality with others and to achieve the important social good of self-respect. It is important, as well, to allow women to participate in various field.
Education is essential for a country’s economic growth because the economy is playing a very important role for become a successful country in the world.
In Pakistan, women’s education is not satisfying. The rate of women’s literacy remains low as compared to men’s. The status of women education in Pakistan especially in rural areas is low.
Because there are some challenges that have been identified which impact on girl’s education like so-called cultural tradition, poverty, non-availability of girls schools early marriage family issue safe environment etc.
There are almost 22.5 million kids out of school. Girls are affected in particular. In Pakistan, 32% of girls of primary school age are out of school, compared with 21% of boys.
By sixth grade, 59% of girls are out of school, compared to 49% of boys. Just 13 per cent of girls in ninth grade are still in school. All boys and girls in disproportionate numbers are losing out on schooling, but girls are worst affected.
Education now becomes one of the most defining enterprises of the 21st century with the emergence of globalization and increasing competition. In this fast world, education and technology are the basic keys for the survival and progress of Pakistan respectively. Pakistan needs to work on women’s education because education is a very important weapon for all countries. Islam also teaches us about education.
In Islam, men and women are moral equals Islam encourages women to be educated in the religion and in all beneficial matters in which they are capable. .Education is one of the golden keys that is considered as a big change and progress. Progress and prosperity of the country depend on the kind of education that is provided to the people.

It is the responsibility of both government and civil society organization to work together and form policies and give a safe environment, make some separate schools for girls in rural areas so that girls also can get basic education like boys without any discrimination.
In this way, both boys and girls can play an important role in the betterment of our society. If we do not give good education, our country will not develop and we will be economically backwards so that’s why we need to do more work on girls education.
