The Colebrookdale department, sometimes called the Colebrookdale spur, Colebrookdale commercial monitor or Colebrookdale line, is a railway line in Pennsylvania. It runs 8.6 miles (13.8 km) from a junction with the Harrisburg Line in Pottstown to Boyertown. At its fullest extent, the road persevered some other 4 miles (6.4 km) to Barto. The road was once constructed between 1868–1869 via the Colebrookdale Railroad (to not be at a loss for words with the heritage railway of the similar title) and a part of the Studying Corporate gadget till 1976. Berks County has owned the road since 2009. The Japanese Berks Gateway Railroad operates freight carrier; heritage passenger services and products are run beneath the Colebrookdale Railroad title.
The primary Colebrookdale Railroad was once included on March 23, 1865. The corporate finished a line between Pottstown and Boyertown, branching off from the principle line of the Philadelphia and Studying Railroad, on September 6, 1869. The extension from Boyertown to Barto opened on November 16. The Philadelphia and Studying leased the corporate at the crowning glory of the road.
The Colebrookdale Railroad was once one in all twelve railroads merged into the Studying Corporate efficient December 31, 1945. Passenger carrier over the department resulted in 1950. The Studying filed to desert the remaining 1.6 miles (2.6 km) of the department, between Bechtelsville and Barto, in 1965. At the Studying Corporate’s ultimate chapter in 1976, possession of the road remained with the reorganized Studying property. Pennsylvania bought the road in 1982 and designed the newly arranged Anthracite Railway because the operator in 1983. The Studying Blue Mountain and Northern Railroad changed the Anthracite Railway because the operator in 1989. The Studying Blue Mountain and Northern Railroad didn’t bid for renewal of the hire in 1995 and was once succeeded via East Penn Railways, with an possibility to shop for the road outright.Penn Japanese Rail Traces bought East Penn Railways in 1997.Berks County bought the road from the state in 2001. The East Penn Railroad bought Penn Japanese Rail Traces in 2007 and bought the road from Berks County.

In reaction, Berks County bought the road once more in 2009. The Japanese Berks Gateway Railroad, a subsidiary of US Rail Companions, assumed operation in 2010.
