Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus.

Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people and those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, and cancer are more likely to develop serious illness.

The best way to prevent and slow down transmission is to be well informed about the COVID-19 virus, the disease it causes and how it spreads. Protect yourself and others from infection by washing your hands or using an alcohol-based rub frequently and not touching your face.

The COVID-19 virus spreads primarily through droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose when an infected person coughs or sneezes, so it’s important that you also practice respiratory etiquette (for example, by coughing into a flexed elbow).

At this time, there are no specific vaccines or treatments for COVID-19. However, there are many ongoing clinical trials evaluating potential treatments. WHO  will continue to provide updated information as soon as clinical findings become available.

This work provides additional evidence for a median incubation period for COVID-19 of approximately 5 days, similar to SARS. Our results support the current proposal for the length of quarantine or active monitoring of person potentially exposed to SARS-COV-2, although longer monitoring periods might be justified in extreme cases.

COVID-19 effects different people in different ways. Most infected people will develop mild to moderate symptoms. On average it takes 5-6 days when someone is infected with the virus for symptoms to show however it takes 14 days.

This pandemic causes the normal activities of life. As governments impose strict lockdown and consumers stay at home, tourism and travel-related industries are among the worst hit at the sector level.

At this pandemic period, All of us have to follow the instructions of health organizations. And to prevent the spread of COVID-19 the best way is to wash your hands with soaps, cover your mouth and nose with bent elbow or tissue and don’t be careless if u feel unwell immediately consult with the doctors to save your life as well as your beloved ones too. This careful step to prevent from COVID-19 can save many life’s. Although the people who are arguing that our religious ibada’h were disturbing are refusing that in this situation Islam allows us to stay home and pray at home safely.

COVID-19 cause a mental cost too. The COVID-19 epidemic is causing increased stress and anxiety, particularly people with existing mental health problems, practitioners and campaigners have said.

Quarantine or self-isolation is likely to have a negative impact on mental well-being.

After looking at all this situation the only thing we can do is to follow the instructions given by the WHO and government. It can save the lives of many people.

  • Stay home in your quarantine time.
  • Spend this quality time with your loved ones but following the instructions too.
