Khlong Bang Bon (Thai: คลองบางบอน, pronounced [kʰlɔ̄ːŋ bāːŋ bɔ̄ːn]) is a khwaeng (subdistrict) of Bang Bon District in southwest Bangkok.

Historical past[edit]

Khlong Bang Bon prior to now was once a part of Bang Bon Subdistrict in Bang Khun Thian District. Due to this fact, on March 6, 1998, the Ministry of Inner transferred Bang Bon Subdistrict to the newly established Bang Bon District.[3]

Later, On July 26, 2017, the Bangkok Metropolitan Management (BMA) introduced the dissolution of Bang Bon Subdistrict and the established order of 4 new subdistricts the use of the east aspect of Kanchanaphisek Highway (Dual carriageway 9) and the north aspect of Ekkachai Highway (Freeway 3242) because the demarcation line between them.[4]

The decrease northeastern house of the previous Bang Bon Subdistrict was once named Khlong Bang Bon Subdistrict, after the native canal Khlong Bang Bon that flows in the course of the house within the northeast-southwest.


Its neighbours, clockwise from north, are Khlong Bang Phran in its district (Ekkachai Highway is a demarcation line), Bang Khun Thian in Chom Thong District (Khlong Wat Sing is a demarcation line), Samae Dam in Bang Khun Thian District (Maeklong Railway is a demarcation line), and Bang Bon Tai in its district (Kanchanaphisek Highway is a demarcation line).[4]
