“Everything is temporary Do not get attached ‘ just flow with it’’
As the Covid19 pandemic sweeps across the world, it’s causing stress and fear among all the people, the psychological impact on these population brings anxiety, fear, stress and anger and its impact are even worse on older people with underlying health issues. As we know now people are asked to stay home & avoid gathering & they are cut off from their regular routine so it is common to experience anxiety, low, lonely, bored and mood swings. Focusing on the reason for Quarantine & isolation can help us to avoid stress and anger because we know that it’s for our own benefit and safety.
Everyone is following news and media which is a major source of spreading fear & fear causes depression and stress. According to psychology, we are born with two types of fear ‘Fear of falling’ and fear of loud sounds. All other fears are injected in us. fear damage our immune system badly and cause serious damage to our mental health, so stay away from listening and trusting so much on social media and follow the genuine source of information and take breaks. Hearing about the pandemic repeatedly can be upsetting.
we know about an English book of intermediate in which there was a lesson ‘The MAN WHO WAS A HOSPITAL is an example of Jerome’s fine the story is based upon sound observation of human behaviour. Many persons with a little knowledge of diseases and their symptoms think that they are suffering from such diseases. He thus thought that all those different diseases were found in him and thus he got worried that he might be dying soon and we are facing the same situation today. It is important to acknowledge and accept feelings of sadness, fear, worry or anger but avoidance of such emotions will only make them stronger and longer-lasting
So HOW to overcome this fear
If you are following precautionary measures fully as prevention is better than cure. then leave it on ALLAH Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala and have faith in Allah.
As we know ‘AN IDLE BRAIN is a DEVIL’ S WORKSHOP so try to engage yourself in positive activities:
- Spend more time with your family
- Limit your family’s exposure to news coverage of the event, including social media
- Stay connected with your friends, family not physically but mentally. Stay connected through phone text social media.
- Eat healthily and take time to relax, Do exercise. Exercise is directly linked to our emotional well being.
- Do whatever makes you happy. Appreciate the things which you have.
And now according to my point of view carona will end soon( InshaAllah ) but it will give us many lessons as All of us were busy in our life so much that we don’t even have time for our family and now we came to know that this technology and science is nothing in front of Allah’s will so stay connected to Allah and hope for the best.
And remember “this too shall pass”
