Anyone can guess by the title what I am going to talk about. Well, I feel no hesitation to accept that I love to live in my imaginative world. Being in this fantasy I feel more comfortable more satisfied because there is no restriction, nobody hates each other, no one is materialistic. But the real world is totally opposite to it. No one cares for others, too much hates.
Today everyone is surrounded by anxiety and stress which is making them inattentive towards others.so I created my own zone of imaginations. Here I am going to tell the story of a girl named Sonia. She loved to make sketches enjoyed making abstract art things. Well, she is not the only one who enjoys a lot doing her hobbies.
But there was one thing crazy about her hobby that while making sketches or doing her abstract art these things started talking to her like her sketches asked her to make it more classical or her artwork says to her to make them a little more colourful and messy. When she shared her crazy feelings to her friends all of her friends made fun of her. Her friends often called her a mad lady. Even her family members usually said that “dear you have gone mad.”
Well, she was in her senses she knew what she was talking about these was just her imaginations. She just shared her feelings her thoughts with others but they only considered her a crazy lady. By the time she started focusing on peoples saying of crazy lady, thinking about “what if she really becoming a mental patient?” so she started researching on these imaginations and a lot of stuff.
Then she came to know that “delusion is a psychological disorder.” Wait What? No this can’t be a disorder she got shocked for a moment as didn’t know that before she managed to calm herself down and focused basically what delusion means? Its simple definition is an idiosyncratic belief or impression maintained despite being contradicted by reality or rational argument.
Well, Sonia was not suffering from this psychological disorder. Because Delusional disorder is a type of serious mental illness in which a person cannot tell what is real from what is imagined. And Sonia was fully aware of her imaginations. She can easily differentiate between what was real and what was imaginative. If we ask Google or consult books regarding psychological disorders we will find that “Delusional disorder, previously called paranoid disorder, is a type of serious mental illness — called a “psychosis”.
The main feature of this disorder is the presence of delusions, which are unshakable beliefs in something untrue People with delusional disorder experience non-bizarre delusions, which involve situations that could occur in real life, such as being followed, poisoned, deceived, conspired against, or loved from a distance.”
By this, all of us can easily understand that not only Sonia but also the people around us who share such feelings of theirs are not mental patients. But What if somebody around us is suffering from this type of disorder? It is our duty not to make fun of them instead we should help them out, listen to them what they are talking about or what they feel about something.
If any of us find symptoms of this mental illness like an irritable, angry, or low mood, Hallucinations in our friends or in our family members it’s our ethical and moral duty to help them out and make no fun of them because they may not share with you but it hurts a lot. Although delusions might be a symptom of more common disorders, such as schizophrenia, delusional disorder itself is rather rare.
It has many types like Erotomanic, Grandiose, Jealous, Persecutory, and Somatic or mixed. There can be several causes of these delusions it may be Genetic, Biological or Environmental/psychological. As we all know that if an illness is genetic or biological it cannot be cured permanently but if it is caused by environmental or by psychological means then the person who is suffering from this needs a lot of attention and care. People with severe symptoms or who are at risk of hurting themselves or others might need to be in the hospital until the condition is stabilized.
In our society, if a person got ill by some means people start talking about why did not the person took the safety precautions well there is no known way to prevent delusional disorder. However, early diagnosis and treatment can help decrease the disruption to the person’s life, family, and friendships. It’s all about our brain that makes us believe in something like “our heart has nothing to do with the feelings of being loved” it’s only a chemical reaction of the brain.
Try to be in your sanity do not seek happiness in others try to enjoy your own company instead of expecting someone else to make you happy. We don’t have any right to making jokes on other people who are suffering from these or any other type of illness.
If we take a look of the present condition of the world we will find almost every person a patient of schizophrenia due to COVID-19 a pandemic here I guess I don’t need to specify this why but in the end I would like to say that it’s good to live in imaginations because on one can control his or her imagination but we should not be deceived by false beliefs or don’t let yourself be overcome by delusions. So love yourself love others take care of each other and stay safe.
