Margaret Patricia Roberts MBE (20 April 1921 – 21 August 2013)[1][2] used to be a Welsh beginner golfer. She gained the Welsh Girls’ Novice Championship 4 instances between 1956 to 1967.

Golfing profession[edit]

Roberts gained the Welsh Girls’ Novice Championship 4 instances, in 1956, 1959, 1963 and 1969, and used to be runner-up six instances, in 1952, 1955, 1957, 1958, 1962 and 1966.[3]

In 1950, Roberts made her debut for Wales within the Girls’s House Internationals.[4] She made her ultimate look in 1970, taking part in annually except for 1952 and 1954.[5] She additionally performed for Wales within the 1964 Espirito Santo Trophy, when the 4 house international locations competed one by one, and within the Ecu Girls’ Workforce Championship in 1965 and 1967.[6][7][8]

Roberts held numerous positions within the Welsh Girls’ Golfing Union, together with chairman, secretary and president.[1]

Honours[edit]

Roberts used to be appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) within the 1994 New Yr Honours as president of the Welsh Girls’ Golfing Union, “for services and products to Golfing”.[9]
