Platycheirus nodosus Curran 1923 , the Twospear Sedgesitter , is an unusual species of syrphid fly noticed in Canada and The Rocky Mountains. Hoverflies can stay just about immobile in flight. The adults also are referred to as flower flies for they’re repeatedly discovered on plant life from which they get each enegy-giving nectar and protein wealthy pollen. Larvae are aphid predators.[1][2].
