Species of lichen

Willeya laevigata is a species of saxicolous (rock-dwelling), crustose lichen within the circle of relatives Verrucariaceae. Present in northwest Vietnam, it used to be officially described as a brand new species in 2014 via Cécile Gueidan. The kind specimen used to be discovered rising on shaded calcareous rock outcrops in a rainforest within the Mai Châu district of Hòa Bình province. The species epithet laevigata refers back to the clean higher floor of the thallus.[1]
