Zeenat Siddiqui (Sindhi: زينت صديقي, Beginning 1947) used to be some of the main people singers of Sindh. Born in Matiari, Sindh, she is legendary for his soulful people songs.


Zeenat Siddiqui used to be born in 1947 in Matiari, Sindh, Pakistan. Her father Akhund Fazal Siddiqui used to be a poet. She won number one schooling from Matiari and Hyderabad and handed matriculation exam from Executive Miran Faculty Hyderabad Sindh. She earned a Bachelor of Arts level from Zubaida Women School Hyderabad.[1]

She began making a song hamds, naats and people songs in her faculty purposes when she used to be a category VII scholar. Her academics Razia Panah Ali Shah and Mrs Mumtaz Qureshi inspired her for making a song. She used to be offered on Radio Pakistan Hyderabad through manufacturer Ghulam Hussain Shaikh. Her first two songs, indexed underneath had been recorded at Radio Pakistan Hyderabad when she used to be a faculty scholar:[2]

  1. Menhan Waseen Toon Chho na, Meahan waseen Chho na (Sindhi: مينھن وسين تون ڇو نہ مينھن وسين ڇو)
  2. Hor wahiyo ray ho, hor ta tuhinjay bhairan jo (Sindhi: ھور وھيو ڙي ھور، ھور تہ تنھنجي ڀائرن جو)

She learnt track from Grasp Muhammad Ibrahim, Ustad Pretamdas and Dadi Leela Vati. Her people songs were given substantial recognition amongst radio listners. She extensively utilized to recite naats in Meelads and such different religeous gatherings.
